milano

It's great to be in Europe where you can get on a plane for 2 hours and land in a total different world! Aca and I took a spontaneous trip to Milan last week to see some old friends, eat some good gelato, take walks around my old second hometown...

....have a caffè macchiato caldo every morning at La Belle Aurore....simple, classic, great...

...eat some decent sushi at Poporoya, near my old place...it's been there forever. And of course I had to have one ethiopian dinner at good ol' Warsa, but pictures of ethiopian food never look very nice. Plus, I have to say, it was much better when they used to make the injera out of teff! (NEVER cut corners!!!)

And here are Aca and his new friend, Curtis, having fun on the kitchen floor while Adrienne and I made dinner.

This is a random shot, but i looooove the simple things you can get in italian supermarkets. FRESH ANCHOVIES! You can't even find them at the fancy fish monger at Grand Central Station, but here they are, as always, whenever you want them at the corner Esselunga :)
